₱0.00estimated 13th month pay

13th month pay = total basic salary earned during the year ÷ 12. It excludes allowances, overtime, holiday/night-shift premiums and unused-leave conversions. It is pro-rated if you worked less than a full year. Under the law, the first ₱90,000 of your 13th month pay and other benefits combined is tax-exempt.

How 13th month pay is computed

Your 13th month pay equals the total basic salary you earned during the calendar year, divided by 12. It is a legally required benefit for rank-and-file employees in the private sector, and employers must pay it on or before 24 December.

What counts as basic salary

Only your basic pay is included. These are generally excluded: allowances (COLA, transport, meal), overtime pay, holiday and night-shift premiums, and cash conversions of unused leave — unless your company integrates them into basic pay. If you worked less than a full year (new hire or resigned), your 13th month is pro-rated to the months you actually worked.

Is 13th month pay taxable?

The first ₱90,000 of your 13th month pay and other benefits combined is tax-exempt. Only the amount above ₱90,000 is added to your taxable income. The calculator flags this for you.
