How to Register for an SSS Online Account

A plain-English walkthrough for creating your My.SSS member account so you can check contributions, apply for loans, and manage your records online — using only the official SSS portal.

Step by step

1. Confirm you have an SS numberYou can only register a My.SSS account if you already have an SS number. If you do not have one yet, apply first through the SS Number Issuance facility — see our guide on how to get your SSS number online (/how-to-get-sss-number-online/).
2. Open the official SSS websiteType sss.gov.ph directly into your browser. Tick the 'I'm not a robot' box, answer the CAPTCHA if shown, then click Member under the Portals section and choose Register in My.SSS.
3. Read and accept the remindersThe portal shows registration reminders and a certification. Read them, then tick the box confirming you understand before continuing.
4. Enter your detailsProvide your SS or CRN number, a valid personal email address, and a preferred user ID. Then supply your complete name, date of birth, and mailing address exactly as recorded with SSS.
5. Submit and check your emailSubmit the form. SSS emails an activation link to the address you provided. Open your inbox (check spam too) and click the link before it expires to activate the account.
6. Set your password and log inFollow the link to create a strong password, then log in at member.sss.gov.ph. You may be asked to complete a one-time PIN sent to your email — enter it only on the official portal.
7. Finish your profileOnce inside, set your security questions and, if you plan to apply for benefits or loans, enrol a disbursement account through the DAEM module so payouts can reach you.

Why a My.SSS account is worth setting up

Your My.SSS account is the single doorway to almost every self-service transaction the Social Security System offers. Once it is active, you can check whether your contributions are posting correctly, apply for a salary loan, update your records, and download your own documents — all without lining up at a branch. Setting it up carefully the first time saves you repeated trips and phone calls later.

Before you begin

The most common reason registration fails is that people try to create a My.SSS account before they have an SS number at all. These are two different steps. If you already have a number, make sure you also have a valid, working email address you can open right away, because the confirmation link and any one-time PIN land there.

• Your SS number or CRN (the Common Reference Number printed on a UMID card).
• Your full name and date of birth as recorded with SSS.
• A personal email address only you can access.
• A quiet few minutes — the process usually takes around 10 to 15 minutes.

Getting the details right

When you fill in the form, type your name, birth date, and address exactly as they appear in your SSS records. Small mismatches — a missing middle name, a swapped birth month — are a frequent cause of rejected registrations. Choose a user ID you will remember and a password that is long and unique. Treat that password like the key to your financial records, because that is effectively what it is.

SSS will never phone or text you asking for your password, one-time PIN, or card PIN. Anyone who does is attempting a scam. Enter those details only on the official portal, and never share them with a person who contacts you.

Activating and logging in

After you submit, SSS sends an activation link to your email. This link does not last forever, so open your inbox promptly and click it. If it is not in your main folder, check spam or promotions. The link lets you set your password; from there you log in at the official member portal. You may be prompted for a one-time PIN — this is normal and is part of the tighter security SSS now uses. Enter it only on the SSS site itself, never on a page someone sends you through chat or SMS.
